Constraint Solving Component

The client sells machinery and software to the clothing industry. Part of this was a CAD tool which was based on the traditional paper pattern design. The project was to modernise this tool by adding contraints, formulae and relationships between the pattern sizes.

The main objective was to integrate a third-party constraint solving engine into the CAD tool and design a method to constrain the many curves used in garment design.
